Love Acts

Love

Came to earth as a baby,

Grew up an obedient boy,

Worked as a Carpenter,

Overcame all temptation,

Operated as a man in the power of the Holy Spirit,

Healed the sick,

Touched and cleansed the leper,

Cast out devils,

Raised the dead,

Opened blind eyes,

Opened deaf ears,

Blessed the children,

Fed thousands on a boy’s lunch,

Gave scathing rebuke

To conniving, religious mindsets,

Made whips of cords,

Drove out the moneychangers,

Forgave the sinner and

Said, ‘Go, sin no more.’

Love

Called the king a fox,

Walked on water,

Stilled the storm,

Paid His taxes,

Angered the Pharisees,

Taught Heaven’s truth,

Delegated authority,

Included Judas,

Prayed for us,

Suffered at the hands of man,

Gave up His life for us on a painful cross,

Was buried in a tomb,

Rose in victory over death on the third day,

Triumphed over satan’s works,

Ascended back into Heaven,

Sent the Holy Spirit,

Offered forgiveness to all,

Is coming to earth again!

Love lives forever!

We Weep

So fragile and helpless,

No voice protests

As tool advances.

He tries to avoid

What kills all his chances.

His tiny body

Can’t escape

No matter how hard

He twists and turns

In silent scream.

Then suddenly,

It’s done.

Snuffed out,

Dismissed

By a callous heart

And a wave of the hand.

Let the cry begin!

This is a sin!

How in God’s name

Can we not feel shame?

Do they not share blame?

God’s people divided

By political parties

With whom they have sided

When they should have united

With Truth?

Yes! 

For

Tiny nose that will never smell,

Tiny ears that will never hear,

Tiny feet that will never walk,

Tiny eyes that will never see,

Tiny arms that will never hug,

Tiny hands that will never be

Useful,

We weep.

Where’s justice for these

Most helpless of all?

Please turn and heed!

Stop the silent scream call.

Note:  I want to speak comfort and help to those mothers who have had an abortion, for whatever reason.  God forgives, and He heals. Turn to Him and ask forgiveness.  Perhaps the hardest part is forgiving yourself and the grief you now feel.  If you need inner healing, I invite you to contact Living Faith Church at 703-331-3820 and ask for Sally Tomko.

If you’re considering an abortion, don’t!  There are lines of couples waiting to adopt your little one if you are unable to care for him or her yourself.  God bless and heal you in the innermost part of your being – that place hidden to all but you and God.

Confronting the Conscience of a Nation

I don’t want to look—

Just go away!

Don’t show me the truth,

Don’t put on display

Those gruesome sights

That don’t make my day.

Don’t show me those parts

All bloody and torn,

What’s left of the babe

Who cannot be born.

You can’t blame me—

I’ve done no harm.

What?  You make the laws,

You Congress and Senate,

And you, Supreme Court,

Have your fingers in it!

Yes, you’re to blame,

To this very minute.

I don’t want to look.

It’s money, you see;

Big business and profit!

I care about ME.

Don’t ask me to vote

Or to referee.

If I don’t look,

Then I won’t see.
