Encourage Yourself in the Lord

I am praying in faith every time I ask God for something, and then thank Him for granting my request! I continue to ask with thanksgiving, standing on the Word of God—His promises of healing, provision, restored relationships, etc. See it as done through the eye of faith. Imagine it done, and praise and thank God now just as you would if you actually saw it come to pass! Go, God! You will have what you say! Death and life are in the power of your tongue (Proverbs 18:20 – 21). Never give up, no matter how long it takes. Keep standing on the promises of God!

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6 – 7, NKJ).

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? OR if they ask for a fish, do give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him” (Matthew 7:7 – 11, NLT).

“Jesus replied, ‘Let the faith of God be in you! Listen to the truth I speak to you. If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, “Mountain, be lifted up and thrown in the midst of the sea,” and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done. This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, if you find that you carry something in your heart against another person, release him and forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also release you and forgive you of your faults. But if you will not release forgiveness, don’t expect your Father in heaven to release you from your misdeeds” (Mark 11:22 – 26, TPT).

“And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:11 – 12, NKJ).
